(01/05/2009) New beer - Golden Cascade 3.8%
We have now launched the second in this year's range of beers named after breeds of duck. The new beer is 'Golden Cascade (3.8%), is golden in colour and brewed using cascade hops, giving a a citrus taste and floral aroma. This beer should go down really well on a hot summer's day!

Fuzzy Duck brewery has now got a bottling plant for producing bottle conditioned ale. When the first beers are ready for sale, you will see it announced here.

Fuzzy Duck brewery has just launched the first of what is going to be a range of beers named after breeds of duck. The first in the series is 'Aylesbury Duck' at 4.5% ABV.
(01/12/2008) Christmas Beer - Christmas Quackers 4.5%
It's that time of year again and Fuzzy Duck has brewed a special beer for the festive season. Christmas Quackers 4.5% is a deep golden coloured festive ale, slightly sweet with a fruity/spicy taste.

Fuzzy Duck has a new session beer - 'Shining Wit (3.6%)'. It is brewed to be quite light in colour and strength, making it a refreshing tipple for a hot summer's day.

The Pump & Truncheon, Blackpool now has a Fuzzy Duck Beer permanently on tap - the actual beer will be changed on a weekly basis.

Fuzzy Duck Brewery now has a new beer, 'Cunning Stunt (4.3%)'. It was initially brewed as a one-off but has proved so popular it is to become a regular beer.

I've just brewed a light mild for the beer festival at the Shovels, Blackpool. It is called Featherweight and comes in at just 3.5% ABV.

It's the first Lytham beer festival this weekend and I've brewed a special for the occasion, Mallard Mild (3.5%).
(17/02/2007) Beer of the festival at Fleetwood Beer Festival
Fuzzy Duck Stout (4.0%) was voted beer of the festival at Fleetwood Marine Hall this weekend out of over 100 different beers. It was shortlisted by customers voting on Thursday night and blind tasted on Friday morning.
(27/11/2006) Beer of the festival at Stags Head festival (Goosnargh)
I have just been informed that Fuzzy Duck Dark (3.4%) was voted beer of the festival at the Stags Head real ale festival. This beer was only the second gyle to be produced with the new plant.
(17/10/2006) First brew on 8 barrel plant
Today, the first brew was completed on the new 8 barrel plant. The beer chosen was 'Pheasant Plucker' and should start appearing in pubs at the end of the month.

I've just introduced another beer, 'Pheasant Plucker'. It will be launched at the Black Horse beer festival in Darwen on 21st-24th September.
(08/09/2006) Regular outlets needed!
Along with expansion, I am looking for some local regular outlets so that the new brewery is financially viable. If you are interested in having Fuzzy Duck beer in your local pub, please contact me. I could do with the business!
(01/09/2006) New Premises
I have just signed the lease for new premises on Poulton industrial estate. Building work starts on Monday! The brewing vessels for an 8 barrel plant are on order and should be delivered early October, ready for the first brew to go on sale a few weeks later.

This morning, the new set of casks arrived! The new casks are the first part of the planned expansion to an 8 bbl plant this autumn.
(14/06/2006) Air conditioning
The recent hot spell might be good for drinking beer but not good for brewing! The last brew fermented a bit too vigirously so I have now installed air conditioning in the fermentation and conditioning area. This should hopefully maintain the quality of the beer during the summer months.

I've just finished drinking the first experimental pint of 'Thumb Ducker'. It will be launched at the Black Horse beer festival in Darwen on 18th May.

I've just invested in a new chiller to help in the brewing process. This should eliminate problems with chill haze and it also cuts half an hour off my time on brew day!
(15/02/2006) Expansion plans
Plans are underway to expand to 8 barrels. I'm currently on the lookout for premises. The main possibilities at the moment are in Pilling, Bispham and Poulton.
